SBU reports on convictions of clergy members

The head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Maliuk, reported on the work of his agency in the church environment at the "Ukraine. Year 2024" forum, according to the SBU Telegram channel.
Maliuk said that law enforcement officers have handed down suspicions to 2,000 traitors and 5,000 collaborators and informants, and then moved on to the work of SBU representatives in the religious sphere.
"Including ongoing work to cleanse the church environment of Russian influence. To date, courts have already handed down 22 guilty verdicts to clergy members," he said.
"Those who commit crimes against the fundamentals of national security under the cassock and with the censer have no indulgence. We document them accordingly," Maliuk emphasized.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that, according to the head of the SBU, Vasyl Maliuk, "under the leadership of our President and Commander-in-Chief, we are doing our best and restoring order" in relation to the UOC.
