The OCU has started gathering people across regions for the "service" of Epifaniy Dumenko in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra for the "new-style" Holy Encounter Feast on February 2, 2024. The broadcast, in which the head of the Transfiguration Cathedral of the OCU in Kremenets, Volodymyr Buhrak, calls on believers to sign up for the "pilgrimage" to Lavra, was published on the cathedral's YouTube channel.
Confused about the date of the "new-style" Candlemas, the "priest" emphasized that anyone interested must make a deposit of 200 UAH because "there were many frustrating cases when people signed up and did not come, causing empty buses to go to the Lavra."
He promised that this amount would be refunded to people upon boarding.
Buhrak also mentioned that an announcement about the recruitment of people would be published on social media soon.
"Think about it. If someone wants to sign up now, you can go to the cashier, Ms. Lesia," he said.
As reported by the UOJ, on the Day of the Baptism of Rus, the UOC brought 8 buses of people to Lavra.
