On the evening of 7 December 2023, near the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh under the walls of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra continued the daily prayer standing, reports the Telegram channel "KozakTV1".

Despite the cold weather, about 30 parishioners and clergymen of the UOC came to the service.

After the beginning of the prayer, the monastery's monks handed the faithful prosphorae.

"Thank you all who every day come to the walls of this holy Lavra, who pray in any weather. Every prayer, every word of ours will be heard by God. God will give everyone according to our prayers and requests. Now our Church is going through certain trials, Golgotha, but without Golgotha, there is no resurrection. We must go through Golgotha to receive the common resurrection. May the Lord help us to pass through this Calvary without complaint and with joy. We thank God for everything he sends," said Fr. Valery during his sermon after the service.

As reported, a participant in the prayer standing near the Lavra called on UOC believers to come to the monastery every day for services to protect the holy shrine and their rights.
