AFU soldiers stand up for UOC church in Vyshhorod which OCU claims for

Parishioners of the UOC Panteleimon Church in the town of Vyshhorod near Kyiv – now members of the special forces brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – recorded a video message in defence of their parish, which raiders are trying to transfer to the OCU. The video was published by the Telegram channel dozor_kozak1.

"I used to serve in this temple and in the temple of St Nicholas,” said one of the warriors. “When the war came, we all immediately took up arms as volunteers. But while we are in the trenches, you (supporters of the OCU - Ed.) decided to outflank us and take away our spiritual home. Please stop!"

The special forces servicemen called on Dumenko's followers to stop sowing discord in the city and "not to divide people in the trenches".

As reported, on 15 October 2023, the community of St. Panteleimon’s Church of Vyshhorod held a parish meeting at which they once again unanimously confirmed their faithfulness to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
