On December 2, 2020, a rally of opponents of bill No. 4142, known as the "compulsory vaccination law", took place in the centre of Kyiv. Photos from the scene were published by Telegram channels Klymenko Time and PavlovskyNews.
People came to the building of the Verkhovna Rada with posters "People against 4142", "No medical tyranny", "The right and freedom of choice is guaranteed to us by the Constitution of Ukraine" and others.
The new bill No. 4142 "On the Public Health System", which was opposed by the protesters, expands the list of preventive vaccinations and provides for the responsibility of parents for refusing to vaccinate a child.
According to the bill, parents who refuse to vaccinate their child will have to write a letter of refusal. Children who have not received preventive vaccinations according to the calendar will be prohibited from attending "educational institutions and children's health and recreation facilities".
In addition, preventive vaccinations should become mandatory for representatives of a number of professions, the list of which will be established by the Ministry of Health. Now they say that workers in the service sector will have to undergo compulsory vaccination.
On the eve of one of the initiators of bill No. 4142, a deputy from the “Servant of the People” party and the chairman of the parliamentary committee on the health of the nation, Mykhailo Radutskiy, assured on his Facebook page that forced vaccination would not be introduced in Ukraine.
We remind that earlier the Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Liashko said that in the first half of 2021, about 4 million citizens of Ukraine will be vaccinated against COVID-19 free of charge.
