On September 6, 2023, the Sosnivka District Court of Cherkasy extended the house arrest of Metropolitan Theodosy of Cherkasy for another two months while wearing an electronic bracelet, Suspilne reports.
Prosecutor Kolomiyets demanded an extension of the arrest, since “the suspect may evade the pre-trial investigation authorities and obstruct the investigation.”
He said that the bishop’s “crime” “qualifies as grave,” and “the whereabouts of the main witness are currently unknown.”
The court satisfied the prosecutor's demands.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that almost all of the “victims”at the trial of Metropolitan Theodosy were clergy of the OCU.
