Metropolitan Jonathan of Tulchyn and Bratslav has officially expressed concerns for his life and health, reports the press service of the Tulchyn Eparchy.

The press service of the Tulchyn Eparchy stated that the SBU employees deceptively obtained the consent and signature of Metropolitan Jonathan for an exchange.

Furthermore, they say in the eparchy, "the investigators insisted on Metropolitan Jonathan's complete silence regarding the exchange operation to avoid interfering with its execution".

The press service also reported that "when asked directly by Metropolitan Jonathan to the SBU group about the reason for distributing leaflets in his residence, the senior group member replied that the actions of the SBU investigators are determined by the current military circumstances (!)".

Therefore, Metropolitan Jonathan "in light of the exposure of the political scam by the Vinnytsia Regional SBU officially expresses concern for his life and health and intends to request lawyers to take appropriate legal measures to protect his life and health in the upcoming Vinnytsia Appellate Court," as stated by the press service of the Tulchyn Eparchy.

As earlier reported, the Tulchyn Eparchy refuted false information from a Phanar-affiliated website.
