Starting from September 1, 2023, for the next six-month term, the leader of the "Seventh-day Adventist Church", Stanislav Nosov, became the chairman of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organisations, reports the AUCCRO website.
Stanislav Nosov is the President of the Ukrainian Union Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. According to the AUCCRO Regulations, Council members take turns chairing for a six-month period.
The principle of rotating the chairman of the Council allows for maintaining independence and self-governance in the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organisations.
Throughout the current year, from January 1 to August 31, Bishop Vyacheslav Horpinchuk of the Ukrainian Lutheran Church chaired the Council. His term lasted longer, for eight months, based on a separate decision of the AUCCRO.
As earlier reported, the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organisations opposed the goals of the international "Biarritz Partnership," including the promotion of abortion among girls and the promotion of gender ideology.
