Striving for the primacy of power, the head of the Phanar steps back from the purity of Orthodoxy, said the head of the UOC-KP “Patriarch” Filaret Denisenko in an interview on the “Ukraine 24” TV channel on October 20, 2020.
“Patriarch Bartholomew wants to have the primacy not of honour but the primacy of power,” Filaret said. "And I oppose this, because in Orthodoxy there is no papacy, and all the primates of the Churches are equal, including Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople."
He emphasized: when the head of the Phanar "retreats from the purity of Orthodoxy, I am against him."
“And when he defends Orthodoxy and defends in difficult conditions – I am with him,” added Denisenko.
As reported, also Filaret Denisenko said that the head of the OCU Epiphany has no conscience.
