Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal will not dismiss Oleksandr Tkachenko from the post of Minister of Culture, as demanded by the Ukrainians who signed the petition, Interfax reports.

“From the content of the petition under consideration, it is impossible to establish the facts and circumstances that would give clear grounds for the Prime Minister of Ukraine to exercise his powers to raise the issue of the dismissal of the Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko before the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine,” Shmyhal’s response to the petition states.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the petition for the dismissal of Tkachenko gained the required number of votes.
