Honored Doctor of Ukraine Valikhnovsky ordained a priest

On August 19, 2020, on the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, the famous Ukrainian surgeon Rostislav Valikhnovsky was ordained a priest. The Candidate of Medical Sciences, Honored Doctor of Ukraine, member of the Presidium of the All-Ukrainian Association of Plastic Reconstructive Surgeons announced this on his FB page.
The priestly consecration of deacon Rostislav was performed by the Primate of the UOC, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine.
“The Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord. By the grace of God and the prayers of our Elder His Beatitude Onuphry, I was honored to be ordained a priest. Glory to the Lord and the Most Holy Theotokos! Happy holiday, my dear and near ones!" Valikhnovsky wrote.
As reported by the UOJ, on May 22, 2019, the Primate of the UOC ordained Honored Doctor of Ukraine Rostislav Valikhnovsky a deacon.
