On August 3, 2020, prison chaplains of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church from the Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit consecrated a paid cell with improved conditions for prisoners in Ivano-Frankivsk SIZO No. 12, "Firtka" reports.
Reportedly, at the invitation of the SIZO leadership, clerics of the UGCC Arsen Panchak and Vasily Slivotsky sprinkled holy water on the cell.
A paid cell was opened in the institution as part of an experiment that this year is being implemented by the Ministry of Justice in pre-trial remand centres in Ukraine.
As reported earlier, UGCC clerics were banned from conducting political propaganda on the Internet.
