The head of the Information Department of the UOC, Metropolitan Clement, commented for the UOJ on the words of the acting director of the Reserve Maxym Ostapenko that some of the monks of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra allegedly transferred to the OCU.

“I checked with the brethren of the monastery, and I can say with confidence that the acting director of the reserve mixed up something,” said the bishop. “Except for the former Archimandrite Avraamy, none of the brethren of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra has moved to the OCU. Even the parrot Kesha did not express a desire to leave the Lavra and change his religious traditions.”

Earlier, the UOJ wrote about the acting the director of the reserve saying that some monks of the Lavra officially transferred to the structure of Dumenko.
