On April 21, 2023, members of the Ministry of Culture Commission broke into some rooms of Building 39 of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, which is a monument of architecture, with a crowbar, reports the UOC Information and Educational Department.

It published a video of Channel 5, which live broadcasted how the door was being broken into.

The UOC Information Department stressed that the Channel 5 reporters, who are allowed into the Lavra premises, "are inspecting the personal belongings of its residents".

Earlier, around 10 a.m., the Culture Ministry Commission, accompanied by police, entered Building 39 of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. The police blocked the entrance to the building and did not allow any of the monastery brethren or worshippers there.
