On July 22, 2020, the people's deputy of Ukraine, the head of the “European Solidarity” party, Petro Poroshenko, discussed with the Polish Ambassador to Ukraine Bartosz Cichocki the issue of recognizing the OCU, reports the official website of the Poroshenko political party.
During the meeting, Poroshenko paid special attention to ensuring respect for the rule of law and freedom of speech and media in Ukraine.
He also informed the Polish Ambassador to Ukraine "about the existing threats to return Ukraine to the times of politically motivated persecution".
In addition, Petro Poroshenko appealed to Bartosz Cichocki with a request "to support the process of international recognition of the OCU, in particular by the Polish Orthodox Church".
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that according to Yuri Molchanov, the lack of recognition pushes the OCU to seek new ways of survival.
