Museum for Christian exhibits created near Hagia Sophia

A new museum is being established near Hagia Sophia to display portable icons and Christian objects included in the collection list of the Ministry of Culture, Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stated, as reported by Оrthodoxtimes.com.

He also revealed that the Land Registry building located in Sultanahmet Square has been donated by order of the Turkish President to the Ministry of Culture and there will be exhibited 1359 objects which belong to the collection of icons and church objects of the ministry.
