Despite the fact that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has recently lost many parishes, it still remains the largest denomination in the country. This was stated on the air of the Rada TV channel by the MP, the head of the deputy group "For the Future" Taras Batenko.

"Although a lot of churches – several hundred – have moved over the past few years from the bosom of the UOC-MP to the bosom of the OCU, this is still not enough: the UOC-MP remains the largest Church in Ukraine," the MP admitted.

At the same time, in his opinion, “it is obvious that a large number of leaders of this Church continue to profess the idea of the ‘Russian world’.” The deputy also repeated the information of one of the online publications that a number of hierarchs of the UOC allegedly have Russian passports.

As reported by the UOJ, earlier the Information and Education Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church denied the report that the Primate and other bishops of the UOC have dual citizenship.
