The Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, told Radio Liberty that he welcomed the demolition of the UOC church in Lviv.
"In addition to the Verkhovna Rada, there is the local Rada. I welcome what happened in Khmelnytskyi, what is happening in Lviv and other places. There should not be anything here that concerns Moscow, let them go to their own place. There should be no ties with Moscow," the secretary of the National Security and Defence Council said.
"These people represent the Moscow eparchy and the priest Gundyaev, who goes around saying that they must kill citizens of our country, while you go and pray to them and give them money. It doesn't make sense," he added.
As earlier reported, Danilov said that in 1991 the Russian Federation launched a special operation to introduce the UOC into Ukraine.
