On April 4, 2023, at a regular meeting, members of the Khmelnytskyi City Council deprived the UOC of the rights to the land plot under the Cathedral of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, reports Suspіlne Khmelnytskyi.

Thus, the mayor of Khmelnytskyi, Oleksandr Simchyshyn, fulfils his promise of April 2 that he will take away land from all UOC churches.

The UOC Synod removed Metropolitan Antony of Khmelnytskyi and Stara Kostiantynivka from office and appointed Archbishop Viktor (Kotsaba) as head of the eparchy.
