On 20 February 2023, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) arrested Ukrainian Orthodox journalist Dmytro Skvortsov, reports "PolitNavigator", citing journalist Tetiana Chugayenko.
According to her, Skvortsov has been on the run for the past few months – due to searches, which the SBU conducted at the place of the columnist’s residence.
"Yesterday he was arrested. They have been hunting him for a long time. He has been on the run for almost a year. They suspect him of treason," she said.
The journalist also said that the court had already ordered that Skvortsov be held in custody: "Based on the results, there was a court hearing and it was decided to keep Skvortsov in custody for 53 days. He was taken to Lukyanivsky remand centre".
As reported, the SBU detained publicist Yan Taksiur, who hosts the “1Kozak” TV channel in Kyiv.
