For his part, Epifaniy said that the OCU, "as one of the Local Churches", is ready to participate in the Orthodox-Catholic dialogue.

"We have good relations with both the Greek Catholic and Roman Catholic Churches in Ukraine. Over the past year, we have had warm meetings and interaction with representatives of the Catholic Bishops' Conferences of Poland, Germany and France. We want to deepen contacts with the Apostolic Capital as well," the head of the OCU stressed.

Dumenko's press office reported that "the meeting took place in a warm, friendly atmosphere, and the participants agreed to continue contacts".

As reported, an ecumenical prayer service for the "unity of Christians" was held in a temple of the Phanar in the USA.
