On May 12, 2020, the new rector of the Church of the UOC in Zadubrivka spoke about the situation in the Archangel Michael Church of Zadubrivka in the Zastavna district, Chernivtsi region, a week after the provocation organized by the OCU activist in connection with the death of Archpriest Leonid Delikatny. The video was published by the “1Kozak” channel.

The new rector of the temple, Fr. Vitaly, says that the community is restoring what was destroyed by the raiders, the gate and doors, and strengthened the protection of the temple.

He says that the community daily performed memorial services for the newly-departed Fr. Leonid and asked God to forgive the raiders.

According to him, the residents of the village of Zadubrivka, who found themselves on either side of the conflict, are not to blame: "the people themselves are good, they are believers, Orthodox," says the priest.

However, he explains, “there are certain forces, certain people who are interested so that the conflict in our Ukrainian land does not stop so that it is incited. Puppeteers push people together. I hope the police draw conclusions and hold these people accountable.”

We recall that on the evening of May 4, 2020, on the day of the death of Archpriest Leonid Delikatny, the rector of the UOC parish in Zadubrivka, the supporters of the OCU took another raider attack on the temple. In connection with the incident, the UOC Chancellor, Metropolitan Anthony (Pakanich) appealed to the authorities.
