A documentary film “On Guard of Faith” from the series “Faces of the Church”, telling about the abbot of the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan Pavel (Lebed) of Vyshgorod and Chernobyl, was published on the Web.

“Metropolitan Pavel of Vyshgorod and Chernobyl is the vicar of the Kyiv Metropolis, the abbot of the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Chairman of the Synodal Commission for Monasteries of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, a permanent member of the Holy Synod of the UOC, a member of the Inter-Council Presence of the Russian Orthodox Church. Vladyka will tell us about his path to God and the difficulties that inevitably arise for everyone who chooses the difficult path of serving God,” says the film review, published on the Jesus-portal YouTube channel on April 27, 2020.

The series “Faces of the Church” is a joint project of the Jesus portal and the “Spas” TV channel.

As reported earlier, the abbot of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Metropolitan Pavel thanked health workers for helping the brethren and refuted the rumours about his state of health. We recall that on April 18 Vladyka Pavel checked out of the Alexander Hospital in Kyiv and returned to the monastery.
