With the blessing of the Primate of the UOC, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, on April 18, 2020, the Holy Fire is planned to be delivered to Kyiv, reports the UOC Information and Education Department.
The Holy Fire will arrive in the capital's Holy Resurrection (Afghan) Church (located to the right of the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra at 27 Lavrskaya Street), approximately at 19: 00-20: 00.
Representatives of the eparchies will be able to receive it there.
The contact person is Archpriest Sergiy Yuschik, rector of the Holy Resurrection Church.
The UOC drew the attention of the ruling bishops of the eparchies, as well as the clergy and laity, to the fact that they would not distribute the Holy Fire at the airport.
Each eparchy may send only one representative, who must inform Archpriest Sergiy in advance about the time of their arrival. This is necessary to prevent the likelihood of crowds.
Earlier, the UOJ reported on the possible procedure for receiving the Holy Fire from the Holy Resurrection Church under quarantine.
