The head of the UOC Publishing Department, Archpriest Volodymyr Savelyev, protested against the decision of the ROC Synod to include his name in the ROC Publishing Council for the period 2023-2026.
He wrote this in a commentary on the Telegram channel by S. Koshkina, the Editor-in-Chief of “The Left Bank”.
"Representatives of the ROC did not agree with me on inclusion in the ROC Publishing Council, I did not know about it and did not agree to it. Moreover, I am categorically against being included in it. I did not plan to cooperate in any way with the ROC Publication Council and have no intention to do so," the priest said.
He wrote that he condemned the war waged by Russia against Ukraine and will publicly demand that he be expelled from the ROC Publishing Council.
Earlier, Bishop Nikita sued “The Left Bank” for defamation.
