There are no people infected with the coronavirus on the territory of the Holy Dormition Pochayiv Lavra and the Lavra's Holy Spirit Monastery, Pochayiv mayor Vasyl Boyko said in an interview with Zoya Karpiuk, editor of the Kremenets District Broadcasting. Karpiuk posted the video of the interview on her Facebook page.

“Among the brethren of the monasteries – Holy Dormition Pochayiv Lavra and Holy Spirit Monastery (skete) – also no symptoms were detected, and there have been no other complaints so far,” Boyko said.

Earlier, the National Police of Ukraine verified the information about the pilgrims who were allegedly infected in Pochayiv. During the inspection, law enforcement officers found out there had been no bus excursions recently in the Lavra, while the local doctors said that residents of Pochayiv and people who'd visited the monastery did not contact them with signs of any viral infection.

Later, the Ternopil Regional Council demanded to ban services in the Pochayiv Lavra for the quarantine period.
