The SBU press service has published the results of the search on the premises of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy.

According to the agency, as a result of the investigative actions, law enforcers found documents confirming the Russian citizenship of the eparchy’s leadership.

"Also, the correspondence between the leaders of the eparchy and their Moscow handlers, in which they receive 'instructions' on the specifics of holding church liturgies after the full-scale invasion, was exposed," the report reads.

The SBU assures that it allegedly found warehouses in the eparchy with "wholesale consignments of pro-Kremlin literature praising the aggressor country and calling to support the occupiers".

The SBU said that "within the framework of the criminal proceedings launched by Security Service investigators under Part 2, Article 111 (high treason) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, procedural actions are continuing".

Earlier, the SBU reported of the searches in the eparchial Office and the Cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Chernivtsi.
