On March 13, 2020, Metropolitan Luke of Zaporozhye and Melitopol commented on the disruption of the presentation of the National Platform for Reconciliation and Unity, aimed at the policy of reconciliation in the Donbass, and the beating by radicals of the Advisor to the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council Sergei Sivokho.

According to the hierarch, the incident "clearly illustrated who is ruling our country today. The U.S. State Department through its supporters showed our President and the Ukrainian people "who is the boss". The Platform for Reconciliation and Unity was created in the framework of peace initiatives by Vladimir Zelensky, who, as promised, is trying to find an opportunity to end the war in the country. But these initiatives do not fit into the U.S. geopolitical plans, so we were shown who has power in the country because without the support of the power structures such a situation would not have been possible".

"It is inconceivable that in some civilized country hooligans would commit violence against the President's representative, and the police would just watch and demonstratively take no measures to stop the illegal actions. This is a spit not only in the face of the President but also in the direction of the entire Ukrainian people," said the bishop.

He added: "Alas, those who serve the overseas masters have real power in our country. On his Facebook page, Sergei Sivokho explained why the American servants in Ukraine need war: "Because war is business and big money." The power tool in the hands of these people is the so-called "patriots" represented by nationalists and other radical forces. The masks of hell have come to our house. And they will do here everything their overseas masters pay them for.

As reported earlier, on March 12, representatives of the National Guard and the National Corps disrupted the presentation of the National Platform for Reconciliation and Unity, aimed at the policy of reconciliation in the Donbass, and beat up its organizer, Advisor to the Secretary of National Security and Defence Council Sergei Sivokho, who cooperates with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church for peacemaking purposes.
