Primate of the UOC Metropolitan Onuphry arrives in Jordan

On February 25, 2020, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine flew to the Queen Alia International Airport, which is located near Amman, the capital of Jordan, reports the UOJ’s sources in Amman.

His Beatitude Metropolitan stayed at the Fairmont Hotel, which will host tomorrow's meeting.

Patriarch Kirill, Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Rostislav, Primate of the Orthodox Church of Czech lands and Slovakia, Patriarch Irinej, Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church and representative of the Romanian Orthodox Church have already arrived in Jordan to participate in the Council of Primates.

As the UOJ reported, the assembly of Heads of Churches will be closed to the media.

The Council of Primates in Jordan dedicated to the "Ukrainian issue", as well as several other pressing problems of world Orthodoxy, will be held at the initiative of Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem.
