Hierarch of Alexandrian Church arrives at festivity in honor of UOC Primate
Metropolitan Meletios of Carthage arrived in Ukraine for celebrations on the occasion of the Patron's Day of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry
On June 24, 2019, a representative of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, Metropolitan Meletios of Carthage, arrived in Kiev, according to the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC.
Metropolitan Meletios of Carthage arrived in Ukraine to celebrate the Angel Day of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine.
At the airport, Bishop Tikhon of Gostomel, vicar of the UOC Kiev Metropolis, and member of the UOC DECR priest Vitaly Gorzov met His Eminence Meletios.
As the UOJ reported, first delegations of 11 Local Orthodox Churches are coming to Kiev to participate in the celebration of the Heavenly Patron's Day of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry. On June 23, 2019, delegations from the Cypriote, Polish and American Churches arrived to attend celebrations in honor of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine.
