Another report on the transfer of UOC community to OCU turns out a fake
The Holy Trinity Church of vlg. Rudoye Selo
Believers of vlg. Rudoye Selo of the Volodarka district, Kiev region, did not transfer to the OCU, said the rector of the Holy Trinity Church of the Belaya Tserkov eparchy, mitered Protopriest Igor Bezogliuk reports to the UOC Information and Education Department.
“This is untrue information,” the rector commented on the media reports. “Our community remains faithful to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and its Primate, and we are having statutory divine services.”
The media reported that on January 18 90% of the religious community of the Holy Trinity Church voted to join the OCU. According to Father Igor, the day before he had been told about the plans to seize the temple, so he went to the police and told the parishioners about it.
The believers supported the priest in spite of the activists who, right in the temple, tried to raise the hype and only after negotiations agreed to go outside to continue the talk. Their main argument was the phrase: "Everyone goes to the OCU, and you do not want!"
The rector and the community signed a letter about their loyalty to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
