UOC publishes statistics for 2018: the number of parishes increased

Compared to 2017, the number of parishes of the UOC has increased. This is evidenced by data published in the report of the UOC Chancellor Metropolitan Anthony of Borispol and Brovary.

In 2018, the number of parishes of the UOC has increased by 23 units compared to 2017 (from 12,069 to 12,092), monasteries – by 7 units (from 251 to 258).

In the 53 eparchies of the UOC, 97 bishops perform their ministry (6 episcopal consecrations have been performed during the year; 2 hierarchs have died) and 12,409 clerics (+126). In the monasteries of the UOC today, 4,501 monks perform their feat (+89).

1415 (+ 82) students are trained at higher theological schools. The number of religious institutions remains the same – 17.
