Phanar announces the date for Unification Council within December 2018

On November 19, 2018, the Patriarchate of Constantinople published a communiqué which says that the Unification Council will be held in December, reports the website of the Church of Constantinople.
“In preparation for the meeting of the Holy and Sacred Synod from November 27-29, 2018, the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople reiterates its sacred decision to grant the Tomos of Autocephaly to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. While the preparation process for the Holy Council (SOBOR) of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine is underway, a concrete date will be presented within December 2018 for the confirmation and announcement by the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate,” the statement said.
Earlier, Ukrainian media reported that the possible date of the Council is December 9-11. According to the spokesperson for the UOC KP Eustratiy Zoria, the information on holding the Unification Council on November 22 is a fake.
