Mosiychuk: Moscow special forces to be placed in UOC monasteries as monks

People’s Deputy of Ukraine Igor Mosiychuk

Referring to certain “sources in Moscow”, the representative of the “Radical Party” said on his Facebook page that Russian special services and associates of the ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich are preparing provocations aimed at opposing the creation of the ULOC (Ukrainian Local Orthodox Church).

"The so-called "Ukrainian Centre" in Moscow, which includes officers of the special services of the Russian Federation, in particular the FSB and the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation, with the help of the so-called "Ukrainian refugees" – Yanukovich’s associates are training groups of Russian special forces, who under the guise of pilgrims and monks should be located in Ukrainian monasteries of the UOC MP to organize provocations and oppose the formation of the Ukrainian Local Orthodox church,” Mosiychuk wrote.

It is worth noting that not only Mosiychuk has today announced the placement of the special services of the Russian Federation in churches and monasteries of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The coordinator of the “Information Resistance”, MP Dmitry Tymchuk, also wrote that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the leadership of the security agencies to place under the cover the special forces of the GRU in most of the important monasteries of the UOC in order to “ensure the safety of the metropolitans (representatives of the UOC – Ed.) in any event”.
