UOC believers continue their prayerful standing at the exarchs’ residence

Prayerful standing near the residence of exarchs of the Patriarchate of Constantinople

The participants of the action are praying for peace and the preservation of the unity of the Church, reports the First Cossack Internet Channel.

Believers unfurled banners: “We are for the canonical Church”, “Ukraine is we”.

As the UOJ reported, this is not the first action of prayerful protest near the residence of the exarchs. According to the believers, the exarchs came to split the Ukrainian Church and faith.

“We have gathered for a prayer so that our country would not be split, so that the Lord would enlighten everybody. It is not clear why the exarchs of Constantinople were invited to Ukraine. We have the Tomos of the 90th year, we have wide autonomy. We are an independent Church,” Protopriest Nikolai of Konotop-Glukhov eparchy of the UOC explained the purpose of the prayerful standing near the residence of Constantinople envoys. In their turn, the parishioners added, “We are for peace in the country; we want the unity of the Church. We are for our Orthodox single canonical Church, we are against schism.”
