The consecration of "PR paskas" by the head of the UOC KP Filaret

The head of the Kiev Patriarchate Filaret took part in the consecration of such Easter cakes in St. Michael’s Cathedral of the UOC KP. In total, 5,000 paskas were consecrated, reports TSN.

"Our Church, like in previous years, cares about our soldiers who do not spare their lives and protect our Ukrainian land," Filaret said. "Paska is not just bread, it is a sign that God himself is connected with this bread, and God is Life."

Journalist Marina Daniliuk-Yarmolaeva on her Facebook page published photos of "agitation paskas" with the comment: "Everything would be fine, but they have party symbols and attributes of a woman who is running for presidency. I propose a slogan: "Your mother will get you at war!".

To which she received an answer from the head of "Batkivschyna" (Fatherland) in Kiev. Marina Daniliuk-Yarmolaeva was asked "to shut a smelly mouth for the sake of Great Lent".

Activist and volunteer Roman Donik on his Facebook page published a screen of the Decree of the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces which requires, "To take decisive measures to prevent the use of festive events in the Armed Forces of Ukraine for political agitation, PR actions using party symbols, the incitement of interfaith enmity, dissemination of religious ideologies that propagate the pacifist mood and ideas that, in their content, justify Russian aggression against our state."
