Faithful raise funds to build a temple in Kuty instead of the seized one

A UOC Temple of the Holy Righteous Anna in Kuty village

The news on launching a new project “Kuty: A House Temple” within the program “40 temples” is reported on the website of the charitable project sorok.church.ua.

"The community of the village asked us to help: since their church in honor of the Holy Righteous Anna was illegally seized in 2016, believers have been compelled to pray and perform services in a tent," the charity organization said.

CF "Favor" calls on all believers to take part in the good deed: "After all, the construction of the temple is the erection of walls around the Divine Liturgy, in which the name of each donor will be commemorated until the end of the century."

One can join the project and donate funds, see the stages of construction here.

According to the information of the UOC, since 2014 supporters of the Kyiv Patriarchate have seized more than 40 temples that have never been returned to their rightful owners. The Holy Synod of the UOC blessed the initiative of the charitable fund "Tabor" under the name "40 temples" to help the affected believers in the construction and improvement of new temples.

It will be reminded that on February 15, 2018, the UOC community of Kuty village gained a final victory in the litigation over its temple. Nevertheless, despite the court decision the temple is still disposed of by the adherents of the Kyiv Patriarchate.
