Terror against UOC will lead to the collapse of Ukraine, – expert

Politologist Ruslan Bortnik

This opinion was expressed by the director of the Institute for Policy Analysis and Management Ruslan Bortnik in the commentary to "The First Cossack" channel.

"The Church today is one of the most trusted institutions of the society," said Ruslan Bortnik, "and the destruction of this social institution is one of the goals of those people who want to reform the Ukrainian society in a fundamental way."

According to the expert, the destruction of the Church in Ukraine will lead to the destruction of the society and then the state.

"This confrontation has long gone beyond the creation of a local Orthodox Church. Today it is the destruction of the society and the state as a whole. With regard to the UOC, we generally see elements of terror – both information terror, in the form of a huge number of inflated scandals in order to reduce the social support of the institution of the Church, and a particular physical one, in the form of attacks on temples, confrontations around churches," says the expert.

The task of physical terror against the UOC, according to the politologist, is to suppress the will of priests, church communities and "this process, unfortunately, will continue."

Earlier, Ruslan Bortnik said that today the Church remains the last stabilization instrument linking the territory of Ukraine and its citizens.
