Ksenia Simonova: UOC Primate award is a huge honor

Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine, in the blessing for dedication and work for the glory of the Holy Church, granted a certificate of merit to the sand animation mater, Honored Artist of Ukraine and Crimea Ksenia Simonova, reports the website of the artist.

"It's a huge honor for me. Save, Lord, for the undeserved, but such bright joy," said the artist, commenting on this event.

The award was sent from Kiev and handed at the Church of the Prophet of God Elijah by Archpriest Georgy Kunitsyn.

Over the past few years, Ksenia Simonova has created a series of films about the life of saints in the genre of sand animation – St. Nicholas the Monk, St. Seraphim of Sarov, St. Luke Voyno-Yasenetsky, the Holy Martyr Eliazer of Eupatoria, Rev. Alexander of Diveyevo, the founder of the Diveyevo Convent.

"Simonova hopes to continue working on the lives of saints and considers this to be her lifework," writes the artist's website.
