In Zaporozhye 300 homeless share Easter meal with UOC clergy
Dinner was organized in the refectory hall of the St. Nicholas Church of Zaporozhye. His Grace congratulated all those present on the Feast of the Resurrection of Christ and wished to leave all griefs and sorrows beyond the church gates and share the joy of the Easter holiday together.
"We are here to share the joy of the Bright Resurrection of Christ. Our life is hard and full of serious trials. But let us remember Christ. Did He suffer little? He was betrayed by His own people, His disciple, took a shameful death for all of us and rose again. Rejoice, today you cannot be sad," said Metropolitan Luke.
The meal was prepared by the women's council of the diocese. In order to feed all comers, the tables were served several times.
