Kiev Metro requires advertisers to stop placing LGBT advertising

The administration of KP "Kiev Metro" sent an official letter to the advertising agency with a request to more carefully and prudently select advertising topics for placement, writes ProChurch.info

With this requirement, Deputy Chief of the Kiev Metro Dmitry Peklun appealed to the director of "Team A" Ltd, which has the right to advertise in the subway. Dmitry Peklun asked in the application to select the subjects for placement more carefully and prudently. The Kiev official referred to numerous complaints of citizens.

The reason for this was the placement of banners with the text "HIV test". On the advertising media along the escalators and on the platforms, a homosexual couple was depicted.

The movement "Love Against Homosexuality" (LAH) repeatedly sent complaints to KP "Kiev Metro", KP "Kievreklama", Kiev authorities and the Kiev City mayor.

The organizing committee of the "LAH" insists on the complete dismantling of advertising materials with the image of a homosexual couple, including the application of appropriate sanctions to the advertising agency, as their actions damaged the reputation of the Kyiv city administration.

As reported by the UOJ, the metro station hosted an advertisement of representatives of the LGBT community, which calls to take a HIV test. The advert showed the males who are fond of each other.
