Greek mass media write about law enforcers threatening UOC representatives
A Greek site describes the situation with search, carried out by the law enforcers in the house of protopriest Victor Zemlianoy.
“Romfea” cites the words of Chairperson of the UOC Law Department protopriest Alexander Bakhov that “Rovno region is one of the most conflict-ridden zones. Since 2014 there have been seized 12UOC temples. Their quantity could have been bigger if it hadn’t been for the efforts of father Victor and his assistants. By their deeds they prevented a number of illegal seizures, while the courts adopted the decisions in favor of the raiding-affected religious communities of the UOC. Undoubtedly, such an activity could not go unnoticed. I’m inclined to think that search is a means of pressure and intimidation, as if we were told in fact: you should not defend your rights from infringement and your temples – from raids.”
