On 4 January His Beatitude metropolitan of Kiev and all Ukraine congratulated disabled children on the upcoming Christmas holidays in his Kiev-Pechersk Lavra residence. It is reported by the UOC Information and Education Department.

“I would like to wish that God’s grace could be always with you, that God could give you health, that you, our kids, could be happy,” said the Primate.

In his hierarchical word His Beatitude also noted that well-being and future of our country depend on how much we care about others.

“Children are our future. If we devote our attention, respect, and kudos to each other, our land will be blessed,” he remarked.

The meeting was organized by the UOC Synod’s Department for Charity and Social Service and International Charitable Foundation “Sunflower”.

As a token of the meeting, the children gifted the Primate with the painting they had made themselves. His Beatitude thanked for this special gift, handed sweets to everybody, as well as small Christmas icons as his personal blessing.

The event took place with support of the Charitable Foundation of the UOC Primate His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry “Peace Be with You!”
