Holy Synod discusses interaction of UOC with the Armed Forces of Ukraine

December 29, a regular session of the Holy Synod of the UOC took place at the residence of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on the territory of the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

The Synod emphasized the importance of interaction of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and expressed concern at the facts of exclusion of UOC clerics from spiritual care of the military personnel of Ukraine.

At the same time, the Holy Synod urged the diocesan bishops of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to active spiritual and pastoral care of servicemen, war veterans and their families in the dioceses entrusted to them.
