Hospital and Hospice will be named after Doctor Liza, who tragically died in Ту-154 air disaster

A hospital and a hospice will be named in the memory of Yelizaveta Glinka (Doctor Liza), who died in the plane crash above the Black Sea, according to RIA News.

Russia’s Minister of Defense Sergey Shoygu has made a decision to name one of the medical institutions within the Ministry of Defense after Yelizaveta Glinka.

“The humanitarian cargo of the foundation “Fair Aid” was dispatched by another plane. It has already arrived at Hmeymim airport. Of course, we are going to bring the cause of Yelizaveta Glinka to the end. In fact, it wasn’t her first trip to Syria. Therefore, the Minister of Defense resolved to name one of our medical institutions after her,” told the first deputy head of the Ministry of Defense Ruslan Tsalikov.

Additionally, the name of Doctor Liza will be given to the department of palliative assistance of Yekaterinburg-based Central City Hospital #2 (hospice), which was proposed by the city head – chairman of Yekaterinburg City Duma Yevgeniy Royzman.

It will be reminded that in the morning of 25 December 2016 the plane Ту-154 of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, destined for Syria’s Hmeymim airbase, crashed in the aquatic zone of the Black Sea near Sochi. There were 92 passengers on board.

The Primate of the Russian Church expressed his condolences to the relatives and close people on their tragic event.
