In Transcarpathia UOC community defended their rights in court

In the village of Pylypets, Mizhgirya district, Transcarpathian region, the UOC community managed to defend its rights in court. The Lviv Administrative Court of Appeal acknowledged that last year the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration illegally re-registered the UOC community’s statute to the Kyiv Patriarchate. Schismatics still continue to use the church in Pylypets for service, reports a UOJ source.

As reported by a UOJ correspondent in the Khust diocese, it is still unknown whether the representatives of the Kyiv Patriarchate will claim the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin or not.

The diocese said: "We are always aimed at a peaceful solution of any conflict arising; therefore, we defend our rights not by force, but in the court."

The UOJ is following the developments.
