Political expert: SBU creates mythical foes around the Cross Procession

A statement of the Advisor to the SBU head Yuriy Tandit on provocations among participants of the All-Ukrainian Cross Procession is an attempt to throw punches after the fight. Such an opinion was expressed in the comments to news24ua by journalist and political expert Maxim Kostenko.

The other day Yuriy Tandit (on the photo) made a statement in the interview with the “5 channel” that from the very beginning the All-Ukrainian Cross Procession from Ternopol and Donetsk regions was accompanied by “provocateurs who were related, on the one hand, to DNR/LNR, and on the other  - to the Transdniester. We gave them soft warnings. We controlled the situation there.”

The Advisor to the SBU head added that the “belligerent party could not use the Cross Procession against us”, but very soon there will appear some information about particular organizations which tried to do it.

«This statement raises certain questions. It is not quite reasonable per se. For there was an idea that “the belligerent party wanted to use Cross Procession against Ukraine. Instead of nipping it in the bud, the provokers were just softly warned. They were not detained, not shown before the public, their plans were not revealed, they were “merely warned”…There is an impression somebody is trying to throw punches after the fight, creating mythical enemies and gaining  mythical enemies over them,” thinks Maxim Kostenko.
