UOC-KP priest and parishioners offended journalists because of the price-list on church services
A UOC-KP priest offended the journalist from the TSN shooting team, while the UOC-KP parishioners blocked the TV channel car with their van. It is reported by TSN.
An acolyte and some parishioners met the TSN journalists in a hostile way. According to them, they defined the prices for church services themselves and made up the price lists so that the money collection procedure might be transparent.
The UOC-KP priest refused to answer the journalists’ questions. “Perhaps, you were given a shot? You are a drug addict?”, said the clergyman and began to push the TSN reporter.
In the UOC-KP church of the Protection of the Holy Mother of God in Novoye Selo, Zhovkov district, Lvov region, they hanged a price-list on church services. Baptism service costs 200 UAH, church wedding – 300 UAH, funeral – from 200 to 2000 UAH. There is also a list of donation-makers and debtors in this church.
Reportedly, when the priest had left, a man came out of the church and began to sort things out with the TSN camera operator. “Listen, shall I kick you? Or I’ll put you in prison,” attacked him the local resident. Meanwhile other parishioners blocked the channel car with a van. “Scam artists with cameras will show us,” scolded one of the men. The villagers had already left before the police arrived at the place.
