Head of the UOC Legal Department: Bill #4128 Was Intentionally Made Dubious (VIDEO)

Individual clauses of bill #4128 are complicated and dubious and may create an opportunity for unauthorized interference with the life of religious communities, says the Head of the Legal Department of the UOC Archpriest Alexander Bach in his interview to the "Union of Orthodox Journalists."

In his opinion, the wording of the bill was intentionally written in a confusing way so that Ukrainian citizens do not understand what the law is about. However, if you read the wording of the bill carefully, we can conclude that “bystanders who identify themselves in any way with the religious community may be present at a meeting of the congregation. And if they are the majority, they can affect the decision making of a particular religious community ", said the representative of the UOC.

We recall that on March 25, a press conference "The Church Raiding and Violations of the Rights of the UOC Religious Communities", which discussed bill 4128 "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Freedom of Conscience and Religious Organizations" in terms of changing religious jurisdiction  was held at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
